I submitted an online request for a consultation appointment this morning for this company, I received an email back from her scheduling service saying I needed to call the office. When I complied, I was told not overtly rudely, but certainly not in a friendly way, that they were unable to make an appointment with me to answer a few tax-filing related questions I had because they had never done my taxes and had no information about me (which I could have supplied, and said so). I reiterated that I was only inquiring about the process I needed to pursue to accomplish my goal of paying an estimated tax this year. Again, I was told that this would be impossible since they had no information on file about me.
So I called H & R Block in Litchfield and had all my questions answered, OVER THE PHONE, FREE OF CHARGE, from someone WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ME, all within 20 minutes.
So much for trying to support a local business.
