Do NOT go to this tax preparer. I went to Belkis because I heard she could help me get a bigger refund. What I ended up with was a complete disaster. I arrived at 7 AM and didn’t leave until 10 PM over 15 hours just waiting around and watching her juggle multiple things at once, including being on FaceTime while preparing my taxes. I started questioning which was more important to her, her clients or her personal calls.
A few months after tax season, I received a letter from the IRS stating that my return had been denied due to an error a mistake that she made. I’ve tried to reach out to her through email and by phone ever since, but she hasn’t responded once. Her phone line now just hangs up automatically, and I’ve received no replies to any of my emails. It’s been over four months, and I’m still dealing with the mess she caused on my own.
What’s worse is that I came to her trusting that she was experienced and professional. Instead, I was left with a rejected return, zero accountability, and complete radio silence.
If you want your taxes done right, avoid Belkis at all costs. There’s no professionalism, no follow up, and clearly no concern for her clients once the money is in her hands.
