Mr. Branch filed my 2017 and 2018 tax returns. He assured me that there was no need to file the 1099 that I'd received for each of those years because the IRS wouldn't come after me for that little bit of money as he put it. He did not go over the possible repercussions of not filing those documents with me, because he was so sure that there wouldn't be any. In 2020, the IRS contacted me and made me aware that I had a deficiency from both tax years and now I am struggling to pay them 7249.26. When I told Mr. Branch, he said instructed me to pay them. He said he would help me to clear this matter up, but continuously blamed Covid 19 for his inaction. Please don't trust him if he ever tells you that a document doesn't need to be filed. IT WILL COST YOU!!! Other than that, my dealings with him were mostly positive.
