Ms Wallace has filed taxes for my fiancee and myself for the past 3 years. I have had no complaints of her work, being trustworthy or reliable. In fact, she has been the most informative tax preparer we have ever had. She was always where she said she would be and when. I have had no issues with Ms. Wallace or her services.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I met with her to complete my taxes...I found this site when attempting to find her Newport News office as she was never at her Poquoson office after 15 April and like the above entry, she failed to complete my taxes on time, failed to get my tax-filing extensions (as she promised she would), would not return my calls (I left over 30 messages)...yet she had my tax prep info. I finally got thru to a man in her office after 2 months of leaving messages...he scheduled an appointment for me to meet with her. When I arrived at her office she was gone...a note on her door indicated she had to leave to vote (I was on time !) and that she had left my tax info with another vendor in her building....yes, she left ALL of our tax info with a 3d party...my experience with her demonstrated she lacks professional ethics, tax law competence and professional responsibility. She had completed a "first draft" of our taxes by 11 April....she wanted me to allow her to file for me without reviewing her work....thankfully I reviewed her work. I found numerous errors -- and I'm certainly no expert. She promised to research with the VA Dept of Taxation and then would re-accomplish. She hasn't responded to me since that last promise-filled meeting...I have to assume she did none of the above. In addition to all of the stuff I've already mentioned....she also lost several tax documents. I have opened cases with the state attorney grneral's office as well as the state dept of taxation. I expect to be hit with federal and state penalties as a result of her negligence ... So may see you others in small claims court as I will do all I can to hold her professionally responsible for her professional negligence. BTW ... I've never been late with my taxes and have never had to report an issue like this in my life or been involved in any form of a court case....guess I've been lucky or she is just that bad!

Had Sharon The president of Wallace is bookkeeping do my taxes three years in a Row every single time there were mistakes knowing that I gave her the proper information . She is disorganized and dishonest and will lose your information after you sit down and give it to her she also will not pick up her phone ! horrible customer service every time you leave a message with her employee she never returned your call after April 15th she goes down to only two days a week that she works which makes it more complicated if she still has your information past your due date time she's impossible ! She was in the office on a Wednesday Watch she's supposedly closed but her Newport News office told us she was there but there was another customer that told me she was there and would be with us shortly for two hours later someone knocked on the door my wife and she said she would be out shortly she was on a private phone call all day she hid from me for 3 1/2 hours I was told by another customer she was in there who had also been waiting for 3 1/2 hours . I contacted the police because I could not get My W-2s back cops told me to come back tomorrow she told the cop she was closed ! And of course as you know it taxes are due on April 15 here it was April 21 when the situation happened there were two other customers in there that had the same issues one lady said she didn't even file her return but she told the lady she did I did eventually get my paperwork back the next day with another trip over there I received my W-2s back and had to have them prepared somewhere else this lady costed me money and time over 10 hours at least! I would not recommend anyone to her and plan on suing her! We brought my paperwork to her plenty early on a previous incident they lost all my receipts this lady needs to give it up!
