It is very clear that this is more of a hobby he picked up and just read one or two articles online on how to do taxes. If you have a 1040EZ, super simple information and only 1 W2, I think he can handle it. He'll charge you 75, maybe less so if you have no better options, he can do it. Otherwise FIND somebody else. Unless you have a really sharp eye and can catch his mistakes. He makes A LOT OF EXTREMELY COSTLY ERRORS and won't let you correct him. Again, if you know nothing about your own taxes or he suspects English is not your first language, as soon as you suggest a deduction you know you have for sure, he'll distract you with some fake client's 20k audit. He'll try to scare you out of making him do the work you're paying for. I went on someone's recommendation and that's 3 hours I'll never get back.
