Born and raised in Mexico City, Rafael has both Mexican and Spanish roots. He is bilingual, well-traveled and internationally connected. He attended Universidad Panamericana in Mexico, where he majored in Finance and Accounting. Rafael graduated from the Harvard University International Tax Program with concentrations in US Income Taxation, Corporate Finance and Public Finance. At the University of Texas at Austin, he earned his Masters of Business Administration. Rafael’s extensive education paired with his incomparable work history make him a “five star” professional and business advisor.

Rafael is also an IRS Enrolled Agent, which means that he has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individuals, business, representation, practice and procedures. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and comply with continuing education requirements.
