I noticed Brenda Tindall’s business while leaving another in the area. Me and my newly married spouse thought we’d give her a try. We paid her to do our state and federal taxes and went home with our paper work. I called her twice after the paper work was “filed” letting her know the info she documented was incorrect, whereas the form she showed us originally to “verify” showed all the correct information.
We filed our taxes in March 2020 and I called her 3-4 times over a 6 month period letting her know we did not receive our state income return. Most of the time I had to leave a message with the receptionist and had to call a week later because Brenda would not call me back. There was always an excuse and at that time, Covid was a big issue. My gut always told me something wasn’t right, but I was so tired of dealing with her, so I let it go.
Fast forward 5 years- my spouse and I received 2 separate letters from the SC Department of Revenue. The state did not see that we filed married with dependents. We were each being charged as single with no dependents. In fact, the state did not receive our state income taxes at all, because Brenda NEVER filed them. On top of that, we were charged penalty and interest fees. Thank goodness we had a good case worker that we had to submit all 36 documents to and he got it squared away.
If I had known 5 years ago what I knew now, I would have never used her. Like many others, I do not enjoy paying someone who does not fulfill their job. I do not recommend using her.
