Would you trust someone who went to jail for stealing money? Has his CPA license revoked? Also in the North Carolina Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners Issue No. 1-2005 on page 2, it is noted that "As shown by the verified Complaint, Defendant has used the title Certified Public Accountant without a valid license"

NEGATIVE STARS! Steve Szer did our taxes for many years. We were audited by the IRS due to an error they noticed on our 2019 federal taxes. The IRS looked back at 2017-2019. Steve had falsified information without our knowledge. When we tried to contact him to find out what was going on he disappeared. We now owe the IRS a significant amount of money due to Steves malfeasance. He is not to be trusted and should not continue being allowed to file taxes on anyones behalf.

Zero stars. We had Steve Szer prepare our taxes for almost a decade. In 2015 while preparing our joint taxes he left off my income and we did not get a copy. Almost two years later IRS contacted us with this error. Steve evaded us and would NOT help to fix this issue. He SHOULD hold insurance for this very reason EO. It was after that and a quick goggle search that I found out that Steve Szer was charged with defrauding Lancaster business of 30,000. Also a search provided info that in 2003 SC revoked his license. A simple search will provide this info. I would never recommend anyone using this man. He is dishonest and not willing to fix errors hes made. Only giving one star bc no stars isnt an option.
