When I first moved from Canada to the US I needed an accountant that could complete my taxes for America and Canada which was hard to find. I was referred to Mr.Snelgrove. His price was atrocious but everyone else I had contacted seemed unsure of how to complete my taxes so we filed with him, the next year we filed with him again but then on year 3 I received a notice that part of my taxes were not completed from the first year he did them. I told him about this and he told me to send everything over with my current tax documents and that he would take care of the paperwork that wasnt done and that years taxes. I sent everything over but he never completed any of the work. I called and emailed multiple times and have still never received a reply. Luckily I found an accountant that was able to apply for an extension and complete my taxes for a fraction of the cost. However I am being penalized for the paperwork that was never done on the first year. I have to pay a 150 penalty fee. My advice is to stay away from Scott Snelgrove and find someone who will complete your taxes properly or at the very least reply to you when he has made an error. For just shy of 1000 to file my first years taxes with him there shouldnt have been errors!
