Bill Bourbonnais is CEO and founder of Bourbonnais Tax Associates LLC in Raleigh, North Carolina. Bill has been a successful tax advisor since 1993, when he established his first tax firm in San Diego, California, and has worked with clients in numerous industries, including health care, manufacturing, IT and Professional Consulting, real estate investing, restaurants and hospitality, and more. He has owned and operated tax firms in California, Arizona, and North Carolina, and works with clients throughout the United States.

As a Tax Strategist and Enrolled Agent (EA), Bill works hard to help his clients find and fix the mistakes and overlooked opportunities that result in overpaid taxes. As a business owner himself, he understands the frustrations business owners face when dealing with the complexity of taxes. His philosophy is that although our United States tax laws are complex, the opportunities hidden in those laws aren't reserved for the mega-billion-dollar conglomerates, but apply to all taxpayers equally. Small and mid-sized business owners only need a good guide with the right treasure map to find those opportunities. Bill approaches tax planning for his clients not with the question they frequently ask of, "Can I deduct this?" but rather with a strategic view of "How can we deduct this?"

In addition to being a Tax Strategist and Tax Resolution Specialist, Bill taught undergraduate tax and accounting for a major university for several years, and holds a BSBA and an MBA both with an emphasis in Finance. He has been an Enrolled Agent (EA) since 1997, and is a member of the the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), the North Carolina Society of Enrolled Agents (NCSEA), the National Society of Accountants (NSA), the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS), and the Tax Master Network (TMN).
