Patricia Miller is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Her secretary made a mistake in checking a box saying I wanted to pick up my mothers taxes rather than have them mailed. My 88 year old mother was undergoing grueling tests for upcoming heart surgery. I missed her message and called on tax day because I realized I had never received her paperwork. I received a message that she was on vacation. She bought the business from our previous tax preparer who always mailed them to us.She returned my call after vacation, told me I had said I would pick up the paperwork to which I replied I never said that. She said her secretary checked the box so it must be true?. She proceeded to tell me she called three times to which I replied she had not. She tried to give me the dates of calls, which she could not do because it never happened. She then got angry and loudly said, I did the taxes, called you, what the HELL else do you want from me? and hung up on me. I called her back and calmly explained, as a fellow business person, if I had gotten a book of business from someone I would do everything in my power to KEEP it. I never got to finish that sentence as she said, unless youre calling to apologize, I have nothing more to say. Click. Too funny - I have no words. My mothers taxes were late due to her secretarys error and her own in not following up in a timely manner. I dont even trust that these taxes are correct as my mother has NEVER gotten a refund on state taxes.I waited until her business was closed for the day as I didnt want another confrontation with this obnoxious human being and called back and politely asked her to mail the documents and her bill. She called back I let her leave a message as I never want to speak to her unless necessary and said its too late to mail them now, you will have to pick them up and bring a check for her. Now she is basically accusing me of not wanting to pay a bill - how ridiculous. There is a tax preparer on every corner - if I were you, I would definitely pick a different one! In my opinion, this one clearly has a screw loose and doesnt care much about retaining clients. Never happier to write a check to be rid of someone!
