In 2020 I was given a separate letter signed by and that stated that CPA Irina Tevlin, prepared the FY2017 financial statements for my co-op, 2606 Cropsey Ave., Inc., for which Im a shareholder of. The FY2017 financial statements were issued to the shareholders in early 2019 and are completely bogus. I initiated a lawsuit against my co-op as a result of those and other false financial statements. The FY2017 financial statements pretend to be CPA certified. Just from exerting common sense, one can tell that the statements are false: No accountants name on the statements, no disclaimers or explanations, no fixed assets, no liabilities, and no stock holders equity reported, as was always reported in prior statements for our cooperative apartment building. If one does due diligence, one will find other issues. Tevlins letter said that if one has any questions, to contact her, I did, but she never answered. Though I dont think that Tevlin broke any laws in taking orders from our co-op president in concocting these false financial statements, her claiming that she prepared these statements should make her work very unprofessional, unethical, and contrary to best accounting practices.
