TAXPAYER BEWARE!!!I filed my taxes with preparer in April. IRS rejected it stating it was duplicate and I was a victim of identity theft. The preparer notifies me and advised I need to submit long form but never told me I must attached a identity theft affidavit which it is their job to know as they are certified to processes taxes. therefore I was sent a check for much less than I was suppose to receive due to the fact that My Tax to go did not process my case correctly. I schedule an appt with IRS as I am not getting assistance from tax preparer and no longer wish to wait for the mailed correspondence. During my appointment I was advised that the fraudulent tax return submitted prior to mine was submitted by the SAME tax preparer that proc seed mine. My mom, sister, brother, and brother in law are also victims of identity theft due to duplicate filing and we only do our taxes with my tax to go. IRS is doing a full investigation and I plan to press charges against My Tax to go. Tax payer BEWARE!
