I am so disappointed with Jerry Lyle and JL Tax Services, whom Ive faithfully given my business to for 20 years. As of the last couple of years this business has been very sketchy and the Principal Jerry Lyle has become unresponsive on all levels and I believe he has farmed out his business to a low level tax preparer by the name of EW Services, which is horrible. Jerry never asked permission of his customers to allow EW Tax Services to touch their personal and confidential tax documents and because I am also one of the aggrieved parties who has suffered from bad and unreliable tax services, I will honestly say you should run away from this business as fast as you can and also report it to the Maryland authorities handling professional licensure for the state. To whomever is considering even having Jerry Lyle or JL Tax Services to handle any of their tax issues, they should seriously reconsider because all the negative reviews on this site and other sites are 100 true and you should not trust this businesseven if you have been a customer for 20 years as I have. This piss poor excuse of a professional has has me owing thousands of dollars from the past couple of years and I just discovered this. Please DO NOT trust Jerry Lyle or JL Tax Services as this work is being farmed out to a bottom level tax preparer whom no one has ever seen. This business gets 0 stars from me and Jerry Lyle ought to be ashamed of himself for duping the public like this. I am not psychic, but I see many lawsuits in his future

Received notice from IRS in 2020 stating that my 2015, 16 and 17 business returns were not filed. Advised to just send in returns. Unfortunately, I just received another notification that I owe 7k. To add there was an Oct 2021 deadline, where I have called multiple times and have went up to the office. No response, no reply, no one available.

I'm having the same problem. Can't reach this guy by phone I even have his mobile phone number, but he's no longer answering and his mailbox is full. He so far hasn't responded to email, and the state of Maryland is saying they have no record of our taxes being filed for 2019. I've never had an issue with him before, but something is starting to not smell right here! I may have to resubmit my tax return myself and take the penalty for late filing. I paid Federal taxes but now I'm starting to wonder if they got my return as well.

I have also been trying to get a copy of my tax return since July 15, 2020. No one responds to emails and we can no longer leave a message on the voicemail because they are closed until further notice. I cannot check on the status of any refund with the FedsMD without the exact information. This is disappointing as Jerry and his team have been good to me over many years.
