He failed to do tax in tiimely manner, got extension saying no tax due, failed to return phone calls, finally did return on 914 showing 30k Fed. and 6k state owed. I asked he send bill to son. Month later IRS sent bill 39K with 6K penalty. My son said he did not receive bill. I appealed to IRS who said return showed no basis for bldg. Son is going to have tax redone.
