I saw the bad reviews before going in, but I didn’t think much of them at the time. After my experience, I completely understand why they’re rated so poorly—this place is a complete scam. They have no idea what they’re doing. I ended up going back three times—the first time was my fault, but they kept calling me back, and something just didn’t feel right. I usually do my taxes online or with Riverview Tax and have never experienced anything like this. There was no effort, no professionalism. The front desk lady was incredibly rude—smirks, hard stares, and a toxic attitude. The whole atmosphere felt off. I was quoted $500 by some part-time guy named John for both my wife’s and my taxes: $320 for the main return, and $79 each for two additional filings. I paid that amount. But then, after everything was supposedly done, they called me again (the fourth time now!) and said I owed another $179—bringing the total to $679. Keep in mind: this was for two people with P&Ls, no employees, and around $80K in bank statements. There was no real audit of our P&Ls, and no explanation for the extra charge. When I questioned it, the woman on the phone said I never paid and still owed $179—even though I already paid $500 as quoted. They started making excuses, saying I had to come in multiple times, which was mostly because of their mistakes. When I reviewed my documents at home, I found several errors. They claimed my taxes were “complex,” but I’ve filed similar ones online without issues. And when I asked for proof of the $500 quote, she said, “Do you have it in writing?”—like, do you? My invoice just says “Fee: $500,” and I’m bringing that in today. For anyone reading this: stay far away. I work in marketing and have dealt with shady businesses before—this one is up there. Save yourself the headache and file online or go to a place like Riverview Tax. Seriously, listen to the reviews. Don’t do it.
