Writing yet another review because Mary is the ultimate scam artist. We still have not been able to get ahold of her regarding her mistake. She owes us for fees and interest on the mistake she made on our 2022 tax return. We are a small family who works hard and she could care less that we now owe over 8k in taxes for 2022 because of her mistake.

Awful, awful service. Mary made a mistake on our 2022 tax return and didn’t add in a W-2. We received a letter from the IRS in 2025 stating we owed $8400 including interest and penalties. Mary finally admitted her mistake after several arguments over the phone and then completely stopped communicating. Stay far far away. This woman needs to retire.

Mary was recommended to us by a friend. We hired her to file our 2022 taxes. Fast forward to now 2025, we received a letter from the IRS stating a W-2 was missing from 2023 and that we owed an additional $8400 including penalties and interest. We reached out to Mary and were faced with defensiveness and after proving to her that we originally provided her all of the needed information she admitted her wrongdoing stating she would “look into it and get back to us”. We have tried reaching out to her to follow up via email and phone calls to no avail. We are good people who do the right thing, and we expect the same in return from people we entrust.

I have been using Mary for my taxes and planning since about 1986. She is pretty-dang sharp when it comes to tax law. I have relocated to Arizona and she still is able to navigate the State Tax Laws of a state that is different than her home office. Seriously, this will be my 38 year of her services: I would not have stayed with her this long and through a move if she wasn't at the top of her game. The rude feedback comment makes me laugh: Mary is one of the nicest people I know, but what she doesn't have patience for is people trying to manipulate her into doing something that is illegal and not accepted by the IRS. She will tell you why that will not work and why she won't endorse or implement that antic. She will be direct with you, as her name is on the document! If that is your tactic you should probably go to your safe space and have a good cry, then find a tax-preparer who will help you find your way into an audit! HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend!!

Mary has been doing our taxes for years and we have always been pleased. Yes, she can be hard to get a hold of. Yes, she is not always the most cheerful person. But please keep in mind that tax season is the busy time of the year for people in this industry and sometimes the wait is worth it. Mary is bright and engaging with your taxes and will make suggestions on how you might be able to reduce your tax burden in following years. She has always finished on time and is available to answer questions year-round.
