I'm the Eric that Staci is referring to up here. If it is not clear from what her review points out that she did not understand I'll clarify here:1 She was engaged for one year's services through 2021, her 2020 return wasn't free, but was provided as part of her overall engagement.2 This would not include filing 2021 unless she renewed.3 Her S Corp paperwork was filled out and provided to her in the first months of our engagement she is the one who failed to sign despite repeat reminders.4 The S Corp fee of 800 to which she refers is actually California Franchise Tax, and she wriggled out of paying for 2020 by representing to me before I was able to review her bookkeeping record that she had no business activity in the 2nd half of December 2020. As you can probably deduce for yourself I cannot possibly be held liable for her lack of business success, and I will add that at the time she separated from me by informing me her bookkeeper would be doing her taxes for the coming year I had fulfilled all deliverables per our agreement. Additionally, at that time she was actually the lowest-paying client in our roster. I actually had some sympathy toward her until she turned on me in such an aggressive manner.If you're a tax pro and this person comes to you for help, beware! She sees the world through a very darkly-shaded lens.

I hired Eric In 2020 to do my taxes and help me to become an S corp. I was told if I signed up for his yearly contract he would do my 2020 taxes for free as an incentive of signing on for a year. The S corp was filing some documents. This was unclear what he was charging for this. I paid him 250.00 a month for one year. Near the end of our contract, he was going to raise his prices from 250.00 a month to 450.00 which I could not afford. So I did not sign on for the next year. This said, I paid him 3,000.00 and he did not follow through with his commitment... not only did he not do my taxes for 2021 he forgot to file my S corp and blamed me. I filled out the form at the beginning of the year but he failed to file. I also paid 600.00 towards a tax payment that he advised which he did not record ..Had I not brought this to his attention I would have overpaid. He also almost had me pay my S corp fee 800.00 twice because he filed my S corp in Mid December 2 weeks before the end of 2021. Thankfully I caught that too. He also was aware of my financial situation but he still overcharged me and did not complete my federal taxes for 2021 as promised. I had to pay someone else 1,250.00 to do my taxes for 2021. so basically I paid 3,000.00 for nothing. He is unethical, unclear, collecting cash, and not doing much. I was very disappointed and he caused a lot of financial strife. He knew when I signed on with me in 2020 that my company made 6000.00 because of covid....I would think twice before signing on with this company.
