I contacted Joel for a ammendment on my 2019 and 2020 tax return in order to apply for the PPP LOAN which was available until May 31st 2021. I chose joel because my wife had been using him to do our taxes ever since we got married so it seemed like the best choice. Originally spoke of Joel the last week of April And asking if you be up to filey amendments on the taxes along with filing the PPP loan application. He said yes no problem that he would not email me the amendments on Monday morningWhich would still be were still in April at that point. I had called him several times since several text messages over the next week there was no email ever sent. I then finally got him on the phone on the Sunday before the 1st of the 2nd mayIn the same thing he said he would email that thing 1st thing Monday morning. Again there is no email setAgain there is no email sent. Then once again another week several phone calls several live text messages and wherever returned. So now 2 weeks have gone by approaching the 8th of May. My wife was able to get him on the phone that Sunday nightI then asked him to status of everythingBut it seemed to me that he forgot that PPP loan applicationHe acted like we never had that discussion. That should have been my 1st indication that something was wrong but I ignored it. I then when I explained to Joe that had this conversation in that he would do it he says OK I will take care of that Monday or Tuesday. Read the next week I call him and text him several several timesEmail reply to call you in 5 minutes but never called. Finally on the 17th or 18th of May which would be TuesdayMy wife was able to get ahold of him and I spoke with him. He said he had some bad news at the PPP program ran out of moneyThat there was nothing that he could do. This 3 or 4 weeks from when I 1st initially contacted him. He was fully aware of the Time Senitvity with the program. Shutting down less then five weeks from out first call. After he gave me the bad news I ask him if he actually ever filed the amendments in the application loan. He said yes I've been went on to tell him or ask him I would like a copy of those things please. He said no problem have it out within the half hour. This was at 11:00 a.m. morning The 1st schedule C amendment finally magically appeared around 6:30 p.m. That's a real long 30 minutes. 1st one that I looked at was the only sent 1 not to the number seemed off I was not alarmed yet but nothing I recognise I was able to notice That he had my wife social security number on that piece of paper should have been the EIN number under the business. I gotta look excited and I actually got him on the phone this time. He was actually quite defensive and sounded like he was gonna shed a tear. My soft nature began to take take hold and I felt bad for him. That moment I was actually giving him a pass. I forgot to mention earlier on that afternoon when I asked him with the name of the lender he used. I email the lender and asset if they had ever received an application with my name on it. Right around 7:30 that night in email came in from them saying they have no record of any application being filed. I then ask my wife to text message him again and to send the other amendment for 2020. And soon as I saw that amendment I knew that he had been lying all along. So he had never done the amendments on the taxes in sent into the Iris like he said he would Invent light about filing for the application for the loan for the PPP. So over the course of 3 to 4 weeksShow me the decision while the subconscious or consciously not to help us. The very notion of someone saying they are going to do something do something and not do it in a situation like this is mind blowing. This was a once in a life time opportunity to take part in guaranteed forgivable loan. He should of said something. Then I would have been able to get the loan finished in a timely fashion. But no he chose to say nothing and lie about it and then try to cover it up and then hide and nit respond to phone calls or text messages. I JUST WANTED to share my experience with others about how this man chose to do business with my family and then act like he was doing us a favor... good job Joel that's sarcasm of course
