If there’s a negative star I’ll give it to this CPA. I was referred by a friend. Went to see her hoping for her to do my tax this year. Since I still have to make contributions to my IRA, I asked her to file an extension for me and she was confirmed she will file the extension for me. Trust her with that, thinking that she’ll be responsible on her professional. A week later she sent me text to remind me if I still want her to do my tax I need to set up an appointment to finish the tax filing. Texted her back the next day that yes I still want her to continue to do my text and that I would like to set up an appointment with her. She never responded to my text. The following Monday I sent her a text to follow up about the appointment and she finally texted me back however with this respond below.
“I am closed for rest of year
Going home to Kansas
I will be back next year.
You will need to do your own taxes
I currently out of the office until next year”
WOW. I was like really? How professional she is. Just drop people file just like that. I tried to reach out to her many times through texts and phone calls and she never once call me back, however she finally texted me back saying, please text me, I can’t talk. So I texted her just like as she requested and not once she replied my texts.
So I gave up reaching out to her and hoping that she didn’t screw me up. Sure enough she did. Not too long after I filed my tax I got a letter from the IRS that I owed them money for the penalty and the late fee for filing my tax on time. I called the IRS they told me that an extension never been filed. Yup! Thanks to you, Wanda Malone!
On top of that, she also screwed up my daughter tax. So please you do need a CPA, do not go to her. Horrible Horrible Horrible.
