I hired Jennifer 6 months ago for the second time to do my income tax returns for 2020. Unfortunately it has been a very disappointing experience... I normally do not write negative reviews and always give people benefit of a doubt and enough time to respond and change the situation but with Jennifer Lidiak, the owner it never happened so must describe what an unpleasant experience I had with her. She started showing a complete disrespect to me by not answering my multiple emails, calls and text messages, no matter how hard I tried she would still never get back to me, and you know how one may feel when you realize you are just being completely ignored and not taken seriously... I was so overwhelmed and stressed when I needed to file my first year business taxes, I needed someone to take a good care of me. Since I hired her in a previous year to do my individual taxes, it went well, but not this time around. She has done the filing of my tax returns very poorly, with two big mistakes which indicate that she paid zero attention to the spreadsheet I shared with her which was very detailed with my gross income and expenses line by line. Those mistakes may cost me a lot, such behavior shows how sloppy and inattentive an accountant may be and I do not recommend Jennifer for those reasons. Now it is obvious to me that she does not know what customer service is, so if you decide hire her - do not expect from her a pleasant attitude nor a detailed break down, advice and explanation on how to file your taxes properly and how to write off business expenses. I am in a service industry myself and if I take on a client - I make sure I finish the job and give all 100 of time and expertise to make sure the business is completed right and my client is satisfied, but unfortunately I see that Jennifer does not have such high standards as I do. It saddens me and I wish I was more well versed in the tax field, I repeated multiple times that I do not understand taxes and expected her to really provide me guidance on what do to best for my business and personal filings... The reason I hired her in a first place is that she was recommended by a colleague of mine, I used to trust personal referrals, but from now on I will only be looking for CPA's who have a good reputation online, I hope they will fix what a mess she has created for me.
