I was directly involved with Anna A.'s tax returns, and what she has written is both inaccurate and not a complete view of the work performed. They were new clients, who walked in on us during tax season who initially stated, Don't worry about the time. Yet, the next day they called and informed us they were leaving the country and needed their tax returns completed immediately. We waited for them in our office for what was suppose to be a 6 pm appointment, but without notice showed up two hours later. We kept the office open and by 8 pm on a Friday evening they finally arrived and we gave her the federal and New York State returns. We take pride in work performed accurately, and certainly billed fairly. Anna A. was treated respectfully and given last minute accommodations and certainly billed fairly.

Pros: Patrick did our personal taxes competently. Though the returns were simple, we appreciated his work. Cons: after giving us an estimate based on our description of our tax situation, Patrick charged us more than twice his lower estimate and more than 1.5 times his highest estimate for the work, even though he agreed that our initial description was right on point. His explanation for the extra 2 hours of work was that the system was not letting him file electronically and he needed time to figure it out. We would have clearly preferred to pay for postage rather than for the 2 unnecessary hours. We will not be using Patrick in the future and do not recommend him.
