This is what Tom Franklin sent to ALL his clients:There was some extra time spent on this return beyond what was required in prior years. I actually took somewhat of a write down despite this extra work. I explain the benefits to you as that is what I do within the invoice work for my customers and I do work to benefit them not me. Nonetheless, like anyone, I expect to be paid for such benefits and the benefits more than 3 times my cost. I do not wish to work for those who have problems that require our help to solve, and the debate is over a couple of dollars that are equivalent costs to 2-3 nights on the town. There are plenty of competitors who assess their work product differently, and they will present a return with higher tax bills rather than spend the time to fix tax issues. I know nothing of cars, and I recall going to a cheap oil change service and days later discovered the oil cap was not placed back on my car after the oil light went on. I got what I paid for fast, cheap service but not care for my car.
