Ocala Certified Public Accountant
Our mission is to file your trouble-free tax return, and reduce your taxes to the fullest extent of the law. As a licensed CPA in both NY and FL, Professional Tax Services will handle the most basic scenario to the very complex: wage earners, retirees, independent contractors, self-employed professionals, new home owners, investment reporting for stocks / bonds / mutual funds /crypto-currencies, parents of college students with education credits, real estate rentals, newly divorced, part-year state resident filings, multi-state resident filings, non-resident state filings, U.S. resident/expatriate filings, FBAR filings, and more.
We resolve IRS and NYS personal income tax problems. We can file your delinquent tax returns. We will negotiate with the IRS and states on your behalf to end your nightmare. We can obtain an installment agreement or an offer-in-compromise, seek penalty abatement, release a wage garnishment and bank levy, respond to an IRS notice, or represent you on audit.
Unique to new Florida residents, a few may experience a residency audit from a previous home state such as NYS, CT, or NJ. Sometimes such an audit is warranted. Most often, it is not. We can help you understand what to expect and resolve the audit. Many transplants will still owe a part-year resident tax return to the old state in the first year here. Others may have old-state source income that requires filing non-resident income tax returns on an ongoing basis. We can help you get a handle on your old-state tax reporting obligations and help prevent the audit to begin with.
