On July 5th, 2020 Samantha agreed to file an extension for us by July 15th, 2020 and then a tax return. She never did. Following us dropping off the packet of requested documents the next day, and allowing her access to our Quickbooks and banking, she was one hundred percent non-responsive via phone or email for over a month, until we made in-person contact with her. We dropped by her Orland location on July 23rd to ask if the extension had been filed because her assistants refused to tell us over the phone. Samantha answered the door and lied, saying 'yes she had filed it'. Following that, we continued to email and call her, with absolutely no response. On 81020 we went to her Chico location where she again lied and said she had personally filed the extension. At that point she was made aware that we knew she was not being truthful because we had already contacted the IRS. She then offered her services at a discounted rate ?!?!?!?!?! to resolve the issue of her causing us penalties for not filing on time and admitted that they had lost all of our documents we had submitted. Why and how would this make logical sense to continue to work with somebody who has proven to be completely incompetent and non-responsive?

Samantha has been doing both our personal and business taxes for the past ten years and we are very pleased with her and highly recommend her. She is a down to earth type person and easy to visit with and explains things for the common non-tax person to understand. She pays attention to details and keeps us informed about any tax law changes that might affect us in anyway. She is available throughout the year via both email and office visit to discuss things like home or business sales, property or items purchase and other things.
