I had engaged a tax service on the north end of Colorado Springs to help me with Executor duties. I gave them the paperwork needed, and waited... After 2 weeks, suddenly they demanded I produce an ID form, the one that created the ID number for the estate. Not only was this form not necessary it had been shredded, once the number had been recorded but the correct ID number was actually in use on the 1099s I'd provided with the paperwork! After being given the runaround for weeks, tax time was imminent and I was getting desperate to have this process completed for my siblings and my self! Chris Stark saved the day. He verified that the ID number form was not required, just the correct ID number. Sensing the urgency, and without me bugging him, Chris poured himself into solving all problems and generating a return in just 5 days! Wow! I had the needed forms in hand and FedXed to my siblings well in time. - Intelligent, knowledgeable, aware of the big picture and empathetic, Chris was everything the other tax people were not. Chris actually cares about the customer's urgency, and I'm a new customer! Will I go back to Chris Stark, heck yes. You are well served to have Chris' help at tax time!

Awesome tax preparation service!! The process was smooth and simple. Chris is honest, professional, and very friendly. He really cared and took the time to make sure everything was done in our best interest, correctly and on time. He is trustworthy and looks after your best interest. the best. My liberal friends were talking about how 2018 Trump was ruining everybodys tax returns... right well Chris got me the second highest tax return Ive ever received in 2018. When you decide to start getting serious about your money you will take it to Chris Stark. Until then yall enjoy HR Block and may I highly suggest you pay them for the peace of mind guarantee after there done ruining your return... youll need it

I had a very poor experience. He entered my social security number incorrectly on the return, missed a deadline to submit paperwork to the IRS and blamed me when I asked him to correct his mistakes. I ultimately gave up and the whole thing ended up costing me several hundred dollars more than what Chris calculated when the return was submitted the first time.I don't enjoy writing a negative review but Chris doesn't mind writing one even when he's not a customer just to damage the reputation of a competitor. He gave a one star review to my now CPA, Tax Preparation Service and Bookkeeper Sikora CPA who has, unlike Chris done an absolutely wonderful job for me and at a very reasonable price. In Chris's review of Sikora CPA, he didn't identify himself as a competitor. He purposely attempted to damage Sikora's reputation in order to make himself look better. You can't get much lower than that in business. I didn't write a review after my poor experience with Chris. Life is too short and he isn't worth my time. However, I won't stand by and watch him purposely hurt someone else. Sikora didn't respond to Chris's unethical review but someone needs to stand up for them and I just did.My recommendation is to stay away from Stark Tax Services. If you do consider using Stark, take a look at his office and at him. What you see is a reflection of the quality of tax preparation work you can expect.
