Amy loves preparing tax returns, which is baffling to friends and family. She feels that paying taxes should be as painless as possible. Amy enjoys client education, and works hard to help her clients understand their particular tax situations and prepare for the future.

In addition to working with individuals, Amy enjoys helping small business owners succeed. Her interest in small business stems from both her personal life (she grew up in a small business family) and from her education (she has a Master’s degree in Business Administration). Amy has a first-hand understanding of the joys and sorrows of small business ownership. In addition to income tax preparation, she offers business plan development and consultation services. Amy has also had her share (she would say more than her fair share) of residential rentals, so she can bring her own real-world experience to your aid here as well.

After going through a divorce herself, Amy got interested in divorce taxation. She understands very well how difficult it is to focus on finance and taxes while your life is being ripped apart; she is here to help you make the right decisions during that difficult time.

Amy is a National Tax Practice Institute Fellow. This means she has completed a stringent, three-level program of study with the National Association of Enrolled Agents that covers all facets of representing clients before the IRS, including communicating with the IRS, helping non-filers, examinations, appeals, collections, liens and levies, bankruptcy and more. Amy volunteers weekly at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at Pio Decimo, helping low-income taxpayers with their IRS problems.

Amy is now married to her high school sweetheart. Both her kids have graduated from college, and her daughter is now entering law school at Cornell.
