IRS Tax Problems

Add Rapper Tyga to the California Tax Lien Most Wanted.

Add Rapper Tyga to the California Tax Lien Most Wanted.

When the state of California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) calls, people usually listen. According to TMZ.com, Tyga was recently hit with a tax lien for almost $20,000. With a net worth reported at $5 million by Celebritynetworth.com, it would be somewhat of a surprise that Tyga could not pay off the reported debt.

Tyga has also been in the news as the boyfriend of Kylie Jenner, the same member of the Kardashian clan that he so publicly (reportedly) gave a luxury car for her 18th birthday. Perhaps Tyga is getting some bad tax advice, so we provided some insight on how he can respond to the FTB tax lien.

A FTB tax lien can be paid off by an individual with any of the following payment options:

  • Web pay from your savings or checking account.
  • Use a credit card.
  • Western Union
  • Check, money order or with cash
  • Installment agreement if you are unable to pay the balance in full.

Once you successfully get the FTB tax lien removed you will want to contact the credit bureaus to clean up your credit reports.

Experian: 1-888-397-3742

TransUnion: 1-800-916-8800

Equifax: 1-800-685-1111

If Tyga feels the lien was placed in error, he needs to get a copy of the tax lien by visiting the Franchise Tax Board website and choosing his county to get started.
