Massachusetts and Rhode Island Tax Attorney Matthew Fabisch

As an attorney licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Mr. Fabisch focuses his practice on representing clients in collection, examination, and appeals matters pending before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and on providing quality tax planning and elder law representation to seniors and their families.

In his tax controversy work, Mr. Fabisch handles complex cases in the following areas: IRS examinations, IRS tax levies, tax liens, wage garnishments, collection due process hearings, collection appeals, offer in compromises, requests for penalty abatement, payroll tax delinquencies, trust fund recovery penalties, foreign bank account reporting requirements (FBAR) and allegations of white collar crime including willful failure to file, and willful failure to pay.

Mr. Fabisch’s unique perspective on tax issues and advocacy comes from his experience in tax controversy. In both his tax controversy and elder law work, Mr. Fabisch is skilled at directing a team of professionals including other licensed individuals to reach the most desirable outcome for clients. Matt Received his J.D. from the Roger Williams University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude where he was the Editor-In-Chief of the Law Review and a member of the Bankruptcy Moot Court. Upon completing law school, Mr. Fabisch clerked for the Rhode Island Supreme Court Law Clerks Department, serving then Associate Justice of the Rhode Island Superior Court (Now United State Circuit Judge for the First Circuit Court of Appeals) O. Rogeriee Thompson in Washington County before rotating to finish his term as a judicial law clerk in Providence county.
