I could go into detail about many different facets of Donaldson in her practice however, suffice it to say that I would recommend not using any firm that decides to quit out of the clear blue just before tax season, and leave you scrambling to hire someone else. Donaldson was recommended to us through our financial advisor and her handling of our tax situation and ultimately just walking away without notice reflects equally on the firm who suggested her to us. The stated reason on her effective immediate cancellation of providing us with tax services was that we are “not a good fit”. Perhaps Donaldson did not want to handle our taxes anymore, but giving at least 2 to 4 weeks notice would have been the professional and helpful thing to do. When you trust someone with your Social Security and access to all of your financial information, one would expect much more than an immediate separation with no notice, and simply the statement that we are no longer a good fit. Now that this has happened to us, we have shared this bad experience with several other families and will continue to do so.
