Dianna's done my taxes for years, she made many small mistakes during that time - mostly to do with inattentiveness poor communication- but I kept her on because I like to support local, small businesses, and I thought I was too busy to do them myself. This year she lost me around 500, due to a series of stupid mistakes. Seems she didn't take time to read the tax info that I was mailing her, or she ignored or forgot everything. She denied all mistakes categorically - even when her errors were totally obvious - which is very aggravating, especially because I've remained a good, long-term client over the years In the end she blamed everything on Covid 19, and claimed she couldn't understand why I was upset. No sign of remorse, let alone admission of guilt. I recommend hiring a professional to do your taxes, or else purchase a tax program for computer or smart phone. Tax prep has become much easier since the last tax reforms, there's no need to hire unprofessional bookkeepers. I'll be doing my own taxes from now on.
