Very disappointed. After reading the other reviews, I see a pattern in dealing with this firm. - They waited until the last minute to file my returns (and told me about a very high tax bill the day before it was due) - Michael talks a good game, but is poor in the execution - They spent a lot of time doing "cleanup" work on our books and I got a surprise bill for over $14K because their billing person "forgot" to send us a bill. - The "cleanup" work on our books created a bigger mess. Basically, they have a good salesman with Mr. Wastvedt, but their backend operations are a mess! I would advise you to steer clear unless you want to create more headaches for yourself.

Very disappointing on how they dragged me and kept on billing for services that were still in dispute. I just wish I had read the reviews before I went to them.

Michael seemed like a really nice man we we met him. But his firm was very disappointing in terms of there actual performance. They waited til the very last moment to submit our returns.I believe that their lack of performance for us was because we were such a small client to really take care of properly

I started working with Wastvedt as CPA firm for my company. Started out quite OK, but I shouldnt have ignored some early warning signs about the personality of owner Michael Wastvedt. He was bragging a lot, e.g. about trusted relationships to bankers that understand small business, and he can help me make introductions. A week later, he mentioned different banks oh wait, a week ago he told those were really tight, decades-old relationships. It turned those were just recent acquaintances because he just refinanced his home.The cleaned up my companys books quote OK for a while. Just a few months into the new business relationship, I asked to clean up some of my recent books 2019 in that case as much as they can within two weeks because I needed the books updated for loan application. They went ahead and did that, and after the work was done and I submitted my loan application, they sent my a very high bill, which I paid without complaint. A month later, they sent me another bill, of almost the same amount - completely unexpected. Seems like they had just continued working on whatever - all I asked for was the support for my loan application, and then billed me.I sent an email to the lady I worked with, and put owner Michael Wastvedt on cc in that email, expressing my surprise and asking for an explanation.Received a response from Michael Wastvedt, raging about many things, including how I dared to hire an offshore accountant, and that the KPIs and metrics I hired him for were just easy and buzz words. :-I was shocked being treated like that, so I didnt reply to the email and called in to clarify things. I was told hes not available. Instead, Michael Wastvedt sent me another email full of insults, denying there was any miscommunication or misunderstanding he must know, all by himself without having the guts to talk to his own clients -.So I explained the details of what happened in an email, which was as expected again ignored by Michael Wastvedt. Instead, he was now threatening with legal action if I wouldnt pay the invoice.So I paid :-I advise anyone to stay away as far as they can from Wastvedt Company.
